River Edge provides state-of-the-art prevention, treatment and support services for children, youth, families and adults who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities across a widening swath of Georgia since 1950.

ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) is a highly intensive, outreached based, out of clinic, service provided by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Population targeted is individuals who have serious and persistent mental illness and some have a co-occurring diagnosis of substance abuse. These are individuals who do not typically come into a clinic setting for traditional treatment. The ACT Team takes the treatment services to them in their homes, shelters, sidewalks, etc. ACT is available 24 hours/7days a week to individuals through an on-call rotation among ACT team members. Services will be provided after hours and on weekends. Services provided to Baldwin and Bibb counties.

Health Service Technician (HST)- ACT- Baldwin-Monday-Friday-8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  (One weekend call per 4 to 6 weeks).

Duties & Responsibilities: Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. Assists in dealing with personal and social problems. May provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services. May perform case management duties, care for ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled persons.

Duties & Responsibilities: Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. Provide transportation to and from appointments, etc. using personal vehicle. Assist clients with grocery shopping and other community based activities.

Minimum Training & Experience: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications: Previous Health Service Tech experience preferred. Applicant must be computer literate.
Additional Information: Applicant must be available to work on any shift as needed. Applicant must also have a good driving record.
