Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst - (BCABA)

 Description

Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, the Assistant Behavior Analyst will support the implementation of behavior support plans, attend meetings, and provide technical assistance with behavioral issues as needed.  The position requires proficiency with the delivery of behavior analytic and/or therapeutic services and supports to individuals with autism spectrum disorder within their natural environments.  Must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate with administrative and clinical staff.

 ESSENTIAL SERVICES: Other services may be required

Conduct functional behavior assessments and/or skill acquisition assessments.

Monitors behavioral interventions to reduce challenging behavior or to promote acquisition of replacement skills. May also design behavioral interventions in familiar cases.

Provides staff/caregiver training, coaching, and on-site technical assistance in order to ensure accurate behavior support plan implementation.

  • Comply with organization, state and federal regulations set forth to include professional development, safety training, and confidentiality policies.

Work collaboratively with the behavior analyst, and other providers (e.g. Speech therapist, Occupational therapist, etc.) in order to ensure consistency of intervention across settings.

Demonstrate positive attitude as well as professional and ethical conduct at all times.

 

Participate in all team meetings and company wide training's as designated by supervisor and organization.

 

Maintain good standing and certification status with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB ).

 

Active BCaBA certification.

  

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.

 

Preferred Qualifications - External: 

- Minimum three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
